Books are not accessible to all students. About 14 percent of Ghana’s population is comprised of children younger than 5 years old. Around 70 percent of these children live in poor rural communities. There are also approximately 1.1 million orphans in the country. We want to equip every district with at least one free library in order to increase accessibility. By addressing an environmental limitation to book acquisition, this project will change the lives of the people of Pru district one child at a time, one school at a time, and one community at a time.
